The emperor accepted their advice, and the wedding was fixed. When the bride came on the wedding day into the temple, the emperor saw the same scar on her forehead that the witch told him he had caused on the poor woman’s baby.
Some people say that there is a special vein in our nervous system that connects our heart directly to our pinky finger. According to this theory, it creates a link that never ends and becomes a red string. This is the reason why people cross pinkies when they swear or make a promise.
